About Doctor Daniel
I am Britt Talley Daniel MD, a retired neurologist, headache specialist, electromyographer, and medical writer who trained at the Mayo Clinic.
For more than 54 years I studied and treated neurological disease. I diagnosed and treated thousands of patients, including many suffering from migraine and other headache disorders.
My greatest professional interest throughout my medical career has been migraine.
DoctorMigraine.com was created to help patients better understand migraine, one of the most common and misunderstood neurological disorders. Through articles, books, videos, podcasts, and educational resources, I explain not only what happens in neurological disease, but why it happens.
Throughout my career I have believed that educated patients make better healthcare decisions. My goal is to provide clear, evidence-based information that helps readers understand neurological disease and become informed partners with their personal physicians.
All my books are available at www.brittttalleydaniel.com.
Neurology books:
The Mini Neurology Series, short books on: Migraine, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Panic Disorder, and Essential Tremor.
Migraine 2nd Edition, a 533 page textbook.
Transient Global Amnesia-the only book on the subject by a U.S. author.
My medical books are written for patients, families, and healthcare professionals who want a deeper understanding of neurological disease.

Patient review of 2nd Edition Migraine book.
“I have had migraines for 40 years: through law school and bar exams in 3 states, two marriages, raising two children and all the professional and relational stuff that goes with that. I have been through antihistamines, proclamation, pain alleviation medicines, and too many doctors with no competence but no shortage of bad advice. This book confirms much of what I had to figure out on my own, explains mysteries and has helped me get ready to enter, hopefully, a semi-retirement from migraine. Well written and well done.”
I have also written fiction:
Family Saga
Titanic: Answer from the Deep
Cozy mysteries-stories that avoid extreme violence and graphic language.
And If Thine Eye Offend Thee, The Case of the Organic Chemist, The Spanish Flu-1918, What Happened at Salado Creek.
